Terms and conditions

Repair Opia services are governed by certain terms and conditions that outline the rights and responsibilities of both the service provider and the customer. These terms and conditions cover important aspects such as the scope of services, fees, warranties, liabilities, and dispute resolution mechanisms. Trust us to keep your device in top shape while providing peace of mind with our clear and concise terms and conditions.

1.1 These Conditions govern the repair service for your smartphone and tablet.

2.1 The agreement starts when you sign the service check-in form and ends when we've repaired your device and received your payment.

2.2 We'll do our best to fix your device, as long as we can get the necessary parts.

2.3 We have a range of quality parts, including genuine and aftermarket options, available for repairing your device.

2.4 We can provide authentic Apple parts directly from Apple and use their diagnostics to ensure safe and dependable repairs, when requested.

2.5 We need your device's passcode to run tests before and after servicing it.

2.6 Providing an estimated completion time is not a binding obligation under this Agreement.

2.7 We'll inform you promptly by phone or email if we can't finish the Service or if additional costs beyond our original estimate are necessary.

2.8 Disassembling the device for diagnostic or repair purposes may cause additional damage, for which Repair Opia is not liable. Replacement parts will not be covered by Repair Opia, even if the device cannot be repaired.

2.9 We will charge our standard fees for repairs whenever possible.

2.10 Diagnostics come with a fee and are not eligible for refunds.

2.11 We'll let you know when your device is fixed and ready for pickup at the service center. If it's not picked up, we'll move it to our warehouse. Delivery from the warehouse costs extra. We'll send a reminder, but if you don't collect it by day 56, we'll recycle it.

2.12 We can hold onto your device until you've paid all fees, and we may charge extra for keeping it in storage.

2.13 Using our service may cancel your device's warranty, so to avoid this, contact the manufacturer directly, but keep in mind that their warranty doesn't cover accidental damage.

2.14 Breaking the warranty seals installed by Repair Opia will void the warranty.

2.15 Opia's warranty only covers parts for failure, not for liquid damage or accidental damage Replacement parts will have a 3-month warranty if liquid damage is detected during the repair process.

2.16 The Warranty only covers the specific device and customer recorded in our system for the original fault and replaced or repaired parts, and does not include any additional faults or accidental damage.

2.17 Repair Opia will apply warranty seals to all their repairs, and if those seals are missing or tampered with, any warranty on the device may be voided.

2.18 Travel, postage or courier expenses are not included in warranty repairs.

2.19 We are not responsible for any previous damages or new issues found in your device, but we will inform you if any problems arise during the repair process.

2.20 We aren't responsible for liquid damage to devices, and opening them could cause more severe and irreversible damage.

2.21 Please keep an eye on your device after liquid damage repair as unexpected issues may arise.

2.22 If your device has liquid damage issues within the warranty period, we'll check it again and give you a new quote. You can also get a refund for all repair costs except for the diagnostic fee if you want.

2.23 We cannot guarantee waterproofing or resistance after repair.

2.24 Kindly check your device before accepting it and let a store team member know if you have any concerns.

2.25 When you replace the battery on iPhone X or later models, a message will appear on the lock screen for up to 48 hours and you won't be able to view your battery health in the settings.

2.26 We need full payment before ordering non-refundable parts for your repair.

2.27 You can only use one promotion at a time, and the management decides which one, and all valid discounts must be used when you buy.

2.28 We'll give you packaging for courier repairs on the return trip, but it's your job to securely pack your devices before the courier comes to pick them up.

2.30 If you ask for a refund on a repair, we may undo the repair and keep any needed parts, and you may not get your original part back, but we'll provide a similar one, and you agree to this if you request a refund.

2.31 Deposit for backordered items that cannot be refunded.

  • A backorder happens when Repair Opia doesn't have the needed parts for your repair and has to get them from their warehouse or suppliers before your appointment. 

  • If Repair Opia can't provide the parts for your repair, then you can get your non-refundable backorder deposit back  

  • If your repair works, we'll subtract the deposit from the cost, but if it doesn't, we keep the deposit.

  • You'll be charged one non-refundable backorder deposit for each repair appointment.

2.32 If we break your device while fixing it, we'll replace the damaged part with our own good quality parts and we might not use an original part unless we say so. If you let us fix your device, you agree to these terms.

3.1 You agree to let Repair Opia use your information to process your trade-in, contact you and your network about the trade-in, and unlock your device.

3.2 By giving us your Device for trade-in, you are agreeing to these Conditions.

3.3 You must either own the Device or have the owner's permission to trade it in.

3.4 Do not sell us a stolen device. We will check if it's stolen, and if it is, we may involve the police and not pay you for it.

3.5 The Device cannot have been bought from Repair Opia in the last 30 days before trading in.

3.6 We or a third party will determine the trade-in value of your device based on its make and model.

3.7 Remove the SIM card and accessories from the device before trading it in to avoid any liability for associated payments or consequences.

3.8 Before trading in, you should save your data somewhere else and remove any memory card or data from the device, as we are not responsible for any loss, damage, or disclosure of such data.

3.9 We can classify the Device as 'Like New', 'Very Good', 'Good', 'Acceptable', or 'Unacceptable', with a:

For trade ins in-store only:

3.10 We'll transfer the Quoted Value to your debit card within 3 working days if possible or

3.11 You can use the value to get a credit note when you buy something in the store; or

3.12 You can use the value towards buying other products, and if it's more than what you need, you can get a refund or a credit note.

3.13 Once you trade in the Device, you won't get it back no matter what.

Trade-ins only accepted online or by phone:

3.14 After you agree to trade in, we'll send you a prepaid envelope within 3 days. Please return the device only in this envelope as we won't be responsible for any loss before we receive it;

3.15To honor the Quoted Value, you must send us the Device within 14 calendar days of accepting the trade-in; and

3.16 If you send us the correct device within 14 days and we receive it, we'll pay you within 7 days.

3.17 If the Device you send doesn't match the description or arrive within 14 days, we'll give you two options: return the Device at no cost to you or proceed with a trade-in at a new value. If you don't respond within 7 days, we'll assume you've accepted the new value and proceed with payment.  

3.18 The maximum amount either party is liable for under these Conditions, regardless of the cause or who it affects, is £100 per incident or related series of incidents.

3.19 Repair Opia can modify or cancel this offer whenever they want.

3.20 Your legal rights are not affected by these terms and conditions.

3.21 Each part of these Conditions stands alone and the failure of one part does not impact the validity of the others.

3.22 Phone call charges vary by provider and mobile phone, but we aim to charge local rates. We may record and monitor calls.

Qualifying terms:

Trade in your old UK network mobile phone for a smartphone running iOS or Android at our retail store and receive an extra £20 credit note to use within 12 months.

Customers who used web-exclusive deals or other discounts, as well as those trading in devices in bulk, cannot use this promotion together with other offers.

Other terms:

  • We can cancel this offer or modify its terms anytime.

  • You can only trade in one promotional product per transaction.

  • The value of your trade-in will be determined when you trade it in.

  • The value of the promotion will be calculated automatically.

  • To qualify for this offer, the phone must be delivered within 14 days after the offer ends for online transactions.

  • Following trade-in rules.

  • UK network mobile phones used in the past decade can be traded in.

4.1 We are only responsible for damages related to our service, and our liability is limited to our choice of action:

(a) Providing the Services anew. (b) Repayment for re-supplying the Services; or (c)If you give us back your device in the same condition you received it, we'll refund any payment you made for our services.

4.2 If Repair Opia breaks your device while fixing it, they'll give you a refurbished device of equal value once you pay for the repair and give them the broken device.

4.3We're not responsible for any data loss or damage on your Device, so we advise you to back it up on an external drive before we provide our Service, and it's your responsibility to keep a record of your data.

4.4 If your device gets lost or stolen while Repair Opia has it, they'll tell you and give you a new one that's the same or similar.

4.5 We are fully liable for anything not covered in clause 3: (a) Any harm caused by our negligence can result in death or injury.; (b)Violation of statutory terms; (c) Deceptive lies.

4.6 We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including loss of business, profits, or accessories, arising from this Agreement.

4.7 To make a claim, you need to let us know in writing within three months of becoming aware of the situation, or within three months from when you should have known.

4.8 Using our "Central Workshop repair service" may result in damage to your device that cannot be fixed, but we will refund your payment and offer a 1-month warranty on the repair work.

5.1 We collect your name and address to update you about your repaired device and offer after-sales service. We may also send you marketing messages if you opt-in, and you can read our privacy policy for more details on how we handle your personal data.

6.1 We're not responsible for delays or failures in fulfilling our agreement if they're caused by factors beyond our control.

6.2 Not enforcing our rights or being patient does not mean we give up those rights.

6.3 This Agreement contains all the information about our agreement with you.

6.4 Any changes to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.

6.5 If any part of this Agreement is not valid, it will be removed without affecting the rest of the Agreement, which will still be valid and enforceable.

By signing our Service Consent, you confirm that you have read and understand the agreement, agree to its terms, and acknowledge the condition of your device upon check-in and repair.
